Developing a new website takes commitment on many levels. Throughout the project, your association needs to be committed to spending the necessary money on items such as design, features, integration and customization. This is why it is essential to have internal discussions about realistic needs from the website, as well as how much you’re willing to invest in it. While websites can cost a great deal of money, this should not dissuade you from a project that is essentially an around-the-clock salesperson working on your behalf. If developed properly, your website will help you answer questions and make connections even when you’re not able to do so personally. The more you put in, the more you will get out.
