#5 Content is King
While the design of your website is appreciated by visitors, it is not the reason they are there. Great content is what drives people to come to the pages you have created and is why those same people share your site through various platforms. It is important to write high quality, meaningful content that is true to your association’s brand. Content can be broken into two categories: text and media.
Text content can be as simple as your “About Us” page. It can also be more in depth content, like a blog or information about upcoming events that you are promoting. Media content is the exact opposite. Instead of written text, it includes animation, images, sound and video. Take into consideration that the two types of content must be balanced. Too much text and it can be overwhelming for a site visitor; too much multimedia and the visitor may not get enough of the right information.
