Engage Promotes Brian Dukes to Chief Technology Officer

DNN community leader to spearhead company’s internal educational efforts and help the web design and development firm navigate the rapidly changing technology landscape

ST. LOUIS – Oct. 27, 2016 – Engage, experts in the design and development of web and mobile solutions for enterprises, announces that Brian Dukes has been promoted to chief technology officer (CTO). Formerly Engage’s chief software architect, Dukes will now be responsible for leading the company’s internal technical education efforts and guiding Engage’s technology decisions in a rapidly changing landscape.

Rich Campbell, president, Engage, said, “Brian has a passion for technology and understands that our clients look to us to provide solutions that will support the day-to-day functions and long-term growth of their organizations. As CTO, he will spearhead the effort to find the right tools and apply the right principles, amidst the newest technologies, so we can provide our clients with stable, reliable results.”

Technology companies often struggle to navigate the constantly changing technology landscape. As a seasoned technologist, Dukes will help Engage balance the disruption of change with the benefits of modern techniques. His passion to focus on fundamentals from the computer science field will help to ensure peak productivity for the organization, regardless of the technical environment.

Brian Dukes, CTO, Engage, said, “It’s exciting to take on the title of CTO at Engage and continue in the work of guiding our technology decisions. We are always evaluating our tools, techniques and company to make sure that we're proper stewards of our clients' projects. As we make new technology choices, I will make sure we consider the maintainability of new technologies and think about what will be necessary to support these solutions in the years to come, both within Engage and for its clients and partners.”

Dukes joined Engage in 2006 and previously served as chief software architect. He is a leader in the DotNetNuke (DNN) community and can often be found speaking at conferences and helping others on Twitter, GitHub, and Stack Overflow. DNN Corp. has recognized his community efforts by awarding him the DNN MVP. Dukes is a Microsoft Certified Developer and a computer science graduate of Webster University.
