No DNN World 2013? No Worries. Get Southern Fried!

July 16, 2013 Update: DNNCon, the newest evolution of Day of DNN, has been announced for October 18-19, 2013. Engage is in as Gold Sponsor, plus Brian Dukes and I will both be hosting sessions. Details are at dnncon.com. See you there!

 

Partners and past attendees to DotNetNuke World 2012 were sent an announcement from DNN CEO, Navin Nagiah, sharing that DotNetNuke has opted to move DNN World to 2014. The delay is intended to allow the company to focus on their launch of DNN Social (which according to our contacts at DNN has far exceeded their expectations from the launch). We've been assured this is good news, and that the 2014 event "will be nothing short of stellar and worth waiting for."

While we will have to wait a little longer for the grandeur of DNN World, the silver lining is an event that's in the wings already, and it's right around the corner  -- Southern Fried DNN is April 12-13, 2013. The event is an evolution of last year's very successful Day of DNN, Charlotte. If you haven't signed up to attend, this may be your only opportunity to a do a live DNN event in 2013 (though there are new rumors of other regional events popping up in light of the postponement).

Real life events like this one are well worth the time and cost for anyone who not only wants to learn more about DNN, but wants to make those interpersonal connections with people in the community.
