Engage traveled to Washington, D.C., last week for our partner Protech Associates’ 9th customer conference, Fusion 2016. During the event, our COO Kevin O’Brien, our Lead Project Manager Josh Williams and I donned our orange polo shirts and (now famous) matching orange shoes to represent Engage as a premier sponsor of the event, and to share our expertise about association web development.

Although we are no strangers to Fusion, we noticed something a little different this time around. In our two previous Fusion trips, we had to maximize our networking opportunities, as we were just beginning to ramp up our work in the association space. This year, we found that many attending organizations were already aware of Engage because of our work with their peers over the last few years. In fact, more and more Protech customers have come to recognize us as the “go-to” DNN partner for their web design and development needs and a smiling "We know you guys!" became a familiar refrain at our table.

We had the pleasure of holding many face-to-face conversations with attendees, which allowed us to address some of their most pressing website pain points. Several organizations expressed dissatisfaction with their current, outdated content management systems (CMS) and discussed their struggle to replace them. This gave us a great segue into our work with DNN and how we’ve developed 20+ websites that integrate seamlessly with Protech’s association management software (AMS).

To cap off the event, five of our clients won WOW! Awards, Protech’s awards program designed to honor, recognize and celebrate customers that have achieved outstanding growth and success through the implementation and use of Protech Cloud Business Solutions. Winners included:
